When you visit Kirkwall, you will probably go to the Cathedral. Right next door is a very fine old townhouse, now called "The Reel". It is operated by Jennifer and Hazel. Upstairs is their music studio and school. Downstairs is their coffee house and pub. If they are not serving drinks, they are playing music.
I told stories at the Reel with Orcadian Tom Muir. It was a grand evening, a fund-raiser for the Orcadian Storytelling Trust.
