This is one in a series of my stories where I re-cast a tale so that a child or a juvenile can become an important part of a traditional folktale or legend. In this story, I narrate the Martyrdom of St. Magnus of Orkney as might be told by a contemporary Orcadian adult to a teen-age nephew whose name happens to be Magnus.
