DATES:   We begin on Sunday afternoon, 20 May 2012 at the Kirkwall Airport.  Pickup will be at 4 pm. We end on Sunday morning 27 May with a return to the Kirkwall Airport, departing the hotel at 10 am.  If you arrive early, or come by ferry, you will need to take a cab to the hotel.

HOTEL:  We are staying at the Standing Stones Hotel in Stenness.  It is in the countryside near the ancient archeological sites -- the Ring of Brodgar and Maeshowe.  It is between the two main towns on the main island of Orkney, Stromness and Kirkwall.  We will have breakfast and dinner at the hotel every day.

ROOMS:  The hotel has a mix of rooms:  singles, twins, and doubles.  There is no additional cost for single rooms, but you may have to share a twin-bedded room if all the singles are taken.  Please register early.

ISLAND TRANSPORT:  We will be driven around the main island by mini-bus. On the days we visit other islands, the mini-bus will take us to the passenger ferries, and meet us at the ferry terminal on our return. 

PAYMENT:  The total cost for the 2013 Orkney Storyfest is not yet determined.  This includes our seven nights lodging (including breakfast and dinner), all local transportation on Orkney (mini-bus and ferry), all admissions, storytelling performances, tours.  This does not include travel to and from Orkney, lunches or snacks, alcoholic beverages, passports or other travel fees, nor trip insurance.

I strongly recommend that you obtain trip insurance to cover your transportation, and the full fee of paid to Storyfest Journeys.  You may also wish to get medical coverage, just in case.  PLEASE purchase trip insurance from your travel agent or insurance broker.  Because we are such a small group, there can be no refunds unless there is another person who can take your place. Again, please purchase trip insurance to cover the unexpected and to have peace of mind.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE:  Payment needs to be made by check or money order in US Dollars.  If you need to pay by credit card, there is a 3% commission added to cover banking fees. Payment schedule is:
